the U. S. Department of the Interior, Fish &
Wildlife Service, it is illegal for an unlicensed
individual to possess a native wild animal. It is
important to contact the proper authorities, such as a
wildlife rehabilitator or the Game Commission, as soon
as possible for assistance. Not just because it is
illegal to possess a wild animal, but because many
animals need attention immediately. Be careful! Injured
animals and birds, no matter how small or how injured,
can be very dangerous as they will defend themselves.
Please call or E-mail us for information on what to do
if you find an injured or orphaned animal or bird. We
will be happy to help!
