Do you like flavored coffee?  Instead of buying a more expensive French Vanilla flavored coffee, just add a few drops of vanilla extract to your regular cup of coffee.  Tastes great!

Bad Cup of Coffee

    A sweet little boy surprised his grandmother one morning and brought her a cup of coffee. He made it himself and was so proud. He anxiously waited to hear the verdict on the quality of the coffee. The grandmother had never in her life had such a bad cup of coffee, and as she forced down the last sip she noticed three of those little green army guys in the bottom of the cup.
    She asked, "Honey, why would three little green army guys be in the bottom of my cup?"
    Her grandson replied, "You know grandma, it's like on TV, 'The best part of waking up is soldiers in your cup.'"

Men are like ... coffee.
The best ones are rich, hot, and can keep you up all night.

The 23rd Cup

Caffeine is my shepherd; I shall not doze.
It maketh me to wake in green pastures;
It leadeth me beyond the sleeping masses.
It restoreth my buzz.
It leadeth me in the paths of consciousness for its name's sake.
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of addiction,
I'll fear no Equal for thou art with me;
Thy cream and thy flavorings they comfort me.
Thou preparest a carafe before me in the presence of Juan Valdez.
Thou anointest my days with vigor; my mug runneth over.
Surely flavor and aroma shall follow me all the days of my life
and I will dwell in the House of Maxwell forever.
Amen!

At the data-entry company where I work, the other operators and I share a coffeepot. One morning I took it into the ladies room to fill it with water. Then I began preening in the mirror, brushing my hair and reapplying some makeup. I didn't realize how long I'd been until someone slid a note under the door. "You win," it read. Any ransom demand will be met. Just release the coffeepot."

~~~~~
A man walked up to a vending machine, put in a coin, and pressed the button labeled, "Coffee, double cream, sugar." No cup appeared. Then two nozzles went into action, one sending forth coffee, the other, cream. After the proper amounts had gone down the drain where the cup should have been, the machine turned off. "Now that's real automation," the man exclaimed. "This thing even drinks it for you!"
Signs that you've had too much coffee:
You can thread a sewing machine...while it's running!
Your birthday is a national holiday in Brazil.
You can't even remember your second cup.
You want to be cremated just so you can spend the rest of eternity in a coffee can.
Tips & Tricks for Coffee & Tea
Placing your open coffee can in the freezer keeps it fresher for months longer than storing it in your cabinet at room temperature.
Save those coffee cans!  They make great storage containers.  Fill them with nails, shoelaces, miscellaneous items and tape a label to the front so you know what's in them.
~~~~~

You can tape two large coffee cans together on top of each other (twice) and place them on a table then place a board on top of the cans.  Presto!  An instant shelf.  You can decorate the cans with construction paper or spray paint them to make a more attractive shelf.

Keep home-prepared tea at room temperature to avoid clouding. If tea does become cloudy, restore the clear color by adding a little boiling water.

~~~~~
Do you like iced coffee?  When you've got left-over coffee, pour it into ice cube trays and freeze.  Great way to keep your iced coffee from getting weak and a good use for left-over coffee!
~~~~~

To make coffee less acidic, top the grounds with a teaspoon or two of sugar before you brew.  Even those who take coffee without sugar shouldn't find it too sweet, just pleasant tasting.

~~~~~
For international coffee without an international price, add flavoring when you brew.  Top the ground coffee with a little vanilla, cinnamon, rum flavoring, almond extract. chocolate, or a combination to suit your taste.
How to Grow a Coffee Tree
    Buy GREEN coffee beans at a gourmet food store. Do not use roasted coffee beans! The beans will sprout in 10 to 14 days. Keep the soil moist as the tips of the leaves will turn brown if the soil gets dry.
    Place the plant in an area that gets some sun, such as in an east window, or close to (but not directly in) a window with a southern exposure.  Every year repot the plant in a container that is one or two inches larger.
    When the plant is large enough for an 8 or 10" pot, just replace the first inch or two of soil each year.  Enjoy your house plant. It's flowers are very fragrant.
