Kinzua Bridge at Kinzua Bridge State Park

Kinzua Viaduct Closed

Note: The Kinzua Bridge State Park was temporarily closed on 7/22/03 due to
a tornado and high winds that collapsed the center section of the Kinzua
Bridge and damaged the surrounding area. See official PA State Parks Web
site for details and pictures. Click

A recent engineering inspection of the viaduct (bridge) has revealed potential problems with the structural integrity of the supporting piers. Kinzua Viaduct is closed to all access. Visitors can still photograph and view the viaduct from the observation deck adjacent to the bridge. Kinzua Bridge State Park is still open.
